If you always thought that vacations are good to your health, here is a study proving you right! British tour operator Kuoni conducted its Holiday Health Experiment by recruiting 12 people living in the UK and sent half of them on vacation to Thailand, Peru or the Maldives while the other half stayed at home, working their full-time jobs.
And guess what? Two weeks after the vacationers returned, medical and psychological tests were conducted on both groups: they showed that those who went on a vacation had reduced stress and improved sleep! The study also showed that going on a vacation reduces blood glucose levels, thus reducing the risk of diabetes.
